Hernan Padillo, Mayor of San Juan, Puerto Rico, presents Sri Chinmoy with a special certificate for his participation in the pre-inaugural ceremonies of the first Pan American Masters Track and Field Championships held in San Juan from 30 August to 1 September, 1980. The Mayor told Sri Chinmoy, “Your Inaugural Meditation here at the first Pan American Masters Championships was an invaluable moment of peace and oneness for all the participants and spectators.”
