149 Propinquity

Madal: Chinmoy, is physical propinquity to one’s Guru a blessing or a misfortune? Chinmoy: Madal, if the disciple uses his nearness to his Guru properly, then it is a stupendous blessing. If nearness is not properly used, then it is a true misfortune — the beginning of the disciple’s downfall through jealousy, vanity, doubt and insecurity.
