Then there was my own maternal uncle, Tara Charan, who saved our family so many times. He lived in the village. Once it happened that my father had to appear before the Chittagong High Court. My father had written that he would be responsible for the debts of my distant uncle. This uncle badly neglected his business and accumulated enormous debts, so the lawyers decided that my father would have to pay everything. In the meantime, my mother went to this maternal uncle, Tara Charan, and begged him to do something. He was very fond of my mother. He said to her, “Do not worry, do not worry.” Then, what did he do? On the morning of the trial, occultly he removed my father’s signature from the piece of paper. How happily the lawyer was showing the piece of paper to the judge, but when the judge examined it, the signature was missing. Therefore my father did not have to pay.
Question: Was this uncle realised, or was he a great occultist?
