That joy is not available
On earth?
Just ask a self-giving seeker
Of the Absolute Supreme!

Remember, it is God’s world.
No matter how many times
You displease Him,
He may still keep you with Him.
For after all, even poor God
Does need some instruments.

When you think you are responsible
For yourself,
You create tremendous confusion
In the mind
And tremendous frustration
In the vital.

How to inspire others
When inspiration deserts you?
Speak of the bright sunny days,
Which you have seen countless times
Inside you.
Perhaps others have never had
Even one sunny inner day.

There are so many ways
To see the divine in yourself
And not the undivine.
Do not think of
What you were yesterday
Or even what you are today,
But only of what
You want to become tomorrow.

You want to know
Who is your real friend?
Ask your heart.
Your heart will tell you
Who can inspire you,
Who can help you
Run the fastest.

O seeker,
Who can be more fortunate
Than you?
For the Lord Supreme feels
It is His bounden Duty
To become better acquainted with you.

If you ask the question
Who is right and who is wrong,
The only answer is:
Our Beloved Supreme is always right
And our ignorance is always wrong.

Man’s attachment to man
Binds man.
Man’s devotion to God
Liberates man.

You think I am foolishly enjoying
Mental hallucinations
Because I feel I need God.
I think you are a rank fool
Because you think you do not need God.

Employ your inner will
To identify itself
Not with dry imitation-prayers
But with warm aspiration-dedication-days.

As everybody has to leave,
He will also one day leave
This earth.
But he will be able to say
That he left something
For both Heaven and earth to treasure:
His Transcendental Consciousness.

You fool,
Do you want God to pay the penalty
Like you?
By fulfilling your desires
He will only delay His Manifestation!

If you are meant to do something great
For God,
Then the desire-life is not meant
For you.

If God wants you to manifest His Light
In a certain way,
Rest assured He will provide you
With the necessary opportunities.

Alas,
Your soul cannot do anything for you.
Even God cannot do anything for you!
Why?
Because you do not have any obedience
To the Divine Will.

Every morning ask yourself
If you are ready to remain obedient —
If not unconditionally,
Then cheerfully;
If not cheerfully,
At least reluctantly.
If you want to stay
In the Golden Boat of the Supreme,
Your last resort is reluctant obedience.

Only if we are insincere
Can we fool ourselves
Into feeling that we have done
More than we were supposed to do
For God and man.

When he failed to obey
His inner world,
He saw that the world outside
Was waiting for him.
Alas, he was more than prepared
To become a member
Of that outer world!

Poor God
Has been getting a series
Of most deplorable experiences
From His spiritual children.
Now He wants you to bring Him
Encouraging, inspiring
And illumining experiences.

If a seeker neglects
His God-ordained task
And deceives the world,
He is only adding more pain
To God’s Heart.

Be cheerful!
You will get a lion’s strength.
Immediately you will be able
To throw aside the burden of your past:
The elephant of depression,
Frustration and failure.

Once upon a time
He was an excellent instrument.
But alas,
Obedience and enthusiasm
Left him
And he only descended and descended.

God’s instruments may fail
One by one,
But God’s Manifestation
Will still succeed,
For new passengers will arrive
Who will be able to please
The Supreme Pilot
In His own Way.

You are aspiring.
That means you are lifting up
The consciousness
Of those who are around you.

A loving heart is the interpreter
Of the soul.
An illumining soul is the interpreter
Of God.
God Himself is the interpreter
Of His self-transcending Vision.

You are trying to liberate the world.
Before you can do that,
You have to raise
Your own spiritual standard
High, very high.

It may take centuries,
But I shall one day definitely become
An unconditionally surrendered seeker
Of the Lord Supreme.

Train your mind
To obey you.
Train your life
To surrender to your heart.
Happiness will be
Your permanent property.

A heart of surrender
Is what you need
To transform your life of frustration
Overnight.

God has done something
Very special for you.
He has granted you
His transcendental Blessing-Smile,
Which you not only did not deserve
But also did not long for.

The mind knows
How to curse darkness.
The heart knows
How to forgive darkness.
The soul knows
How to illumine darkness.

If you hesitate
In your aspiration-life,
Then God is never going
To make you a candidate
For His Satisfaction-Crown.

You have allowed ignorance
To conquer you.
Can you not now allow your determination
To conquer you
And release you from ignorance?

Self-giving
Determines your inner progress.
Inner progress
Determines God’s Satisfaction.
God’s Satisfaction
Reveals a new creation.

The world sees you
As an innocent life.
God sees you
As His puissant Heart.

My Lord Supreme,
Let me no longer play the game
Of attachment.
I wish only to play the game
Of devotedness —
To You, to You and to nobody else.

Once you have learnt how to sprint,
Why do you have to crawl?
When your boat is about to reach
The destination,
Why does it have to capsize?

Do not waste time
Talking of love human.
What you need
Is to experience love divine
And to become oneness-delight.

My body is lightless,
My vital is restless,
My mind is careless
And my heart is helpless.

Alas, you just do not want to see
That God wants to ban doubt
From your aspiration-life.

Believe me!
Your trembling tears of today
Will become conquering smiles tomorrow.

Alas,
It is my hesitation
That has built walls
Between my aspiration
And my Lord’s Compassion.

His vision-eye was eclipsed
By the titan-frown
Of ignorance-night.

I clearly see trouble in your face.
Search keenly deep within yourself!
Your trouble will disappear.

You must choose
Both to give and receive
If you want to free your life
From your mind’s slavery.

Rekindle the flames
Of your aspiration-heart
And dedication-life.
God is all ready
To feed your faith
And starve your doubt.

In the morning
He runs a race
Against his desire-life.

In the evening
He runs a race
Against his complacence-life.

A self-giving heart
And God’s smiling Eye
Have always been
Two close associates.

Although it is an unfair trade,
My heart is more than willing
To offer its light to my mind
In return for my mind’s darkness.

You do not have to convince
The spiritually blind
That there is light on earth.
Let them remain
In their self-styled darkness.
But offer more and more illumining light
To those who are awakened
And have a little God-Vision.

My vision-eye tells me
That I am already chosen
To please my Lord Supreme
In His own Way.
My reality-life tells me
That uncertainty is my other name.

If you are fighting against ignorance
Reluctantly and half-heartedly,
Then half of you is for wisdom-light
And half is for ignorance-night.

You gave up the life of aspiration.
That was the choice
Of your doubt-cherishing mind.

You are starting again.
This is the choice
Of your God-loving heart.

O my mind,
Do you know what you have done?
You have taken away purity’s breath
From my life
And sincerity’s light
From my heart.

Because you are a seeker,
The world rightfully expects
Your soulful and devoted service.
Your sincere service will contribute much
To the harmony and peace
Of the world.

O my cheerfulness-mind,
Your strength far surpasses
The strength of a mighty elephant.

At every moment
Ask your inner being
Whether you are doing
What God wants you to do
Or what God does not want you to do.
If you are not doing
What God wants you to do,
The Golden Boat will reach its destination
Without you as a passenger.

If you do not listen to God,
Your life is your own.
If you listen to God
And make Him part and parcel
Of your life,
At every moment you can count on Him.

When he asked God to fulfil his desires,
He took God’s Silence
As His Approval.
But God was only waiting
For his foolish desires to go away.

An irony of fate:
His cheerful obedience
Has turned into
Powerful disobedience,
Because God has not pleased him
In his own way.

God, too, has expectation.
He expects your dynamic inspiration
And aspiration
To run the fastest
On Eternity’s Heart-Road.

My Lord, forgive me.
If You forgive me, who knows?
Perhaps my ignorance-life
Will never return.

Those who are destined
To do something divinely good
Or become something supremely good
Do not need to know God’s Philosophy.
They need only to envision His Light.

The Supreme’s ardent Request
To all His children:
“Every day pray and meditate,
At least to maintain your spiritual height
If you cannot transcend it.”

Why do you listen to your mind
When it tells you
That you are wasting your time
Looking for illumination, perfection
And God-Satisfaction?

Allow not your mind
To act freely,
For it may either lead or follow
Evil thoughts.

Yours is a divided mind
And an undecided heart.
How can you then
Succeed and proceed?

Every day his mind is visited
By wild memories
And his heart is visited
By deathless reality-experiences.

If you want to develop
A special bond of oneness-delight
With God,
Then use your unused inner cry.

Not the sound of freedom
But the silence of oneness
Is calling his heart.

Sing not soulful songs
With your yesterday’s mind.
Sing fruitful songs
With your today’s heart.

No storm can uproot
The faith-plant
Of his aspiration-heart,
Because of his implicit surrender
To the Will of his Lord Supreme.

When at last I found him
Deep inside his mind-forest,
I found him
Most deplorably helpless.

Your mind wants to learn
The secrets of a withering rose.
Your heart wants to become
A sacred and ever-blossoming rose.

My Lord,
I know I do not care for You,
But if You do not care for me,
I know that I shall sadly fail.

If your heart is robed in purity,
Then your life will become
The blossoming Light of Divinity.

Why are you so rich
In stupidity?
Are you not afraid
Of living alone
Without beliefs?

All I truly want from God
Is His Compassion-Ocean,
And all I want from man
Is his sincere attempt
To understand me.

I shall try
To shield you from shame
Only when you do not try
To blame the world
For your downfall.

Unless you aspire,
You will always be compelled
To remain a prisoner
Of bewilderment.

Leave me alone, O world!
Blame me not!
I shall be liberated
Without your help,
For the blue bird of my soul
Has come to the fore
To liberate me.

Your heart has come into the world
To work for God
And not to be worshipped by man.

You must take each day
As the blessing-touch
And compassion-smile
Of your new birth.

Newness,
Do come and take birth
In my mind.

Fulness,
Do come and take birth
In my heart.

Satisfaction,
Do come and take birth
In my Beloved Supreme.

Little soulful efforts
Can make not only a good seeker
But also a perfect instrument of God.

The only perfection I know
Is Your Vision-Eye.
The only satisfaction I know
Is Your Oneness-Heart.

Your inspiration-mind
May love the sound-life,
But your aspiration-heart
Will always love the silence-life.

If your mind studies
In the forest of intellect,
Life-transformation
Will always remain a far cry.

My ears have heard
The Songs of God’s Heart.
My breath has embraced
His Compassion-flooded Feet.

My Lord Supreme,
My last wish is this:
That I shall plant Your
Satisfaction-Plant
Inside my heart-garden.

Today’s powerful pride
Will eventually grow into
Tomorrow’s mournful humiliation.

I have seen two things:
God’s Compassion and God’s Forgiveness.
But I have become only one thing:
A gratitude-life.

What you need is the courage
To transcend your desire-life.
What you need is the surrender-life
That meets with God’s Satisfaction-Heart.

God wanted you to have goodness
As your desire-free companion.
But you want to be satisfied
With weakness-stranger.

As your mind is not tired
Of confusion-sound,
Even so,
Your heart should not be tired
Of aspiration-silence.

He wants to magnify
His gratitude-life.
Alas, he does not realise
He is tied in temptation-knots.

If you want to remain pure,
Then every day you must continue
Your soul’s inner pilgrimage.

If you are devoted to depression,
You cannot be a student
At God’s earth-transformation-school.

My Lord,
Wherever Your Compassion takes me,
I shall go.

My Lord,
Wherever I go,
Do allow Your Forgiveness
To follow me.
