The core of India's Light, part 4
1.
AgniThe Fire-God
The Fire-God consumes our ignorance-night. He also energises our aspiration-cry.
2.
AhamkaraPride
Pride destroys our satisfaction-beauty in the inner world and our perfection-reality in the outer world.
3.
AnantaEndless
When I love only God unconditionally, endless is my satisfaction-delight. When I love only myself sleeplessly, endless is my frustration-destruction.
4.
AsuraDemon
The demons consciously make us feel how weak and helpless we are in their strong presence. The demons unconsciously make us feel our sleepless and deathless oneness with the Inner Pilot, our Beloved Supreme.
5.
AsvamedhaHorse sacrifice
In India the horse sacrifice grants us tremendous name and fame, but satisfaction may remain a far cry. Oneness-realisation will grant us not only boundless satisfaction but also the message of ever-transcending perfection.
6.
BhaktiDevotion
Devotion intensifies the seeker's inner hunger, purifies his outer greed and solidifies his integral perfection.
7.
DikshaInitiation
Initiation is divinely meaningful and supremely fruitful. During initiation the crying heart of the disciple says to the Master, "I need you badly." The loving heart of the Master says to the disciple, "I shall not only love you unreservedly but also give to you unconditionally."
8.
DikshakaOne who initiates
The one who initiates knows where his realisation is coming from. He knows also to whom he is offering it. His realisation is coming from his Father Transcendental and going to his brother, who is crying to be a conscious part of the Universal Reality.
9.
IdamThis
This world may frighten and discourage the God-seeker, but it can never, never remotely frighten or discourage a true God-lover, for he sees God the creation and God the Creator as one indivisible Reality.
This world is beautiful if we see the Creator in it. This world is fruitful if we add to it our own aspiration-cry and dedication-smile.
10.
JagrataAwake
If you are awake, then your life will see the real Beauty of God's outer Life and feel the real Delight of God's inner Life. The outer Life is God the eternal Preparation. The inner Life is God the eternal Satisfaction.
11.
JnanaKnowledge
Human knowledge is book-knowledge. Divine knowledge is soul-knowledge. And what is soul-knowledge? That we are of the One's Beauty and for the One's Duty.
12.
KarmaAction
A desire-life is bad action in the body, vital and mind. An aspiration-life is the good action of the heart for the mind, vital and body.
13.
KathaStory
Each individual is an inimitable story written by our compassionate Fate-Maker.
14.
KartaDoer
When I do not pray and meditate, each thought is an unconscious action. When I pray and meditate, each thought is a conscious doer.
15.
KartavyaDuty
A moment of earthly duty gets the unimaginable honour of shaking hands with a day of Heavenly beauty.
16.
KirtiFame
Fame is almost always beyond control. It is like the wagging tail of a monkey that rarely can be tamed.
17.
KirtanaSinging the glory of God
Singing the glory of God we liberate the animal in the human, illumine the human in the divine and fulfil the divine in the Supreme.
18.
KhaSky
A bad thought compels my life to cry while walking along a thorny road. A good thought helps my heart to fly in the uncharted freedom-sky.
19.
KratuSacrifice
To work is to sacrifice: this is a human experience. To work is to become: this is a divine experience. To work is to be perfect: this is a supreme experience.
20.
KriyayogaYoga of action
In the yoga of action, the seeker's surrendered heart is an invaluable achievement.
21.
KrodhaAnger is danger. To be aware of danger is to be more self-disciplined and more perfect in our spiritual life.
22.
KrpaCompassion
In the human world there is no such thing as compassion. It is all attachment. In the divine world there are only two realities: compassion-height and justice-light.
23.
KrurataCruelty
What is cruelty? Imperfection. What is imperfection? Division. What is division? Self-importance. What is self-importance? The beginning of faultless frustration.
24.
KshamaForgiveness
Forgiveness helps me aspire to grow into perfection. Perfection is a conscious, sleepless, birthless and deathless attempt.
25.
KshanaMoment
An earth-bound moment tells me that I am nothing because I have nothing. A Heaven-free moment is a necessity that bridges man's choice of God and God's Voice in man.
26.
KshayaDestruction
Aspiration is not the destruction of ordinary human life. Aspiration is the proper transformation of human life.
27.
KshinaWeak
As an impure thought is responsible for your weak mind, even so a pure thought is responsible for your strong heart.
28.
KusaSacred grass
May the sacred grass, which is humility's perfection, grow sleeplessly and victoriously in the heart of the seeker.
29.
KutiraHermitage
You do not have to enter into a hermitage to pray to God and see the Face of God. The real hermitage is your self-giving heart, ready at every moment for God-Satisfaction in God's own Way.
30.
LaghimaLightness
Lightness of the body is a supreme achievement. This supreme achievement helps us grow into more awareness of and more intimate oneness with our Beloved Supreme.
31.
LakshyaTarget
If your target is God-realisation, then do not wait for the next moment. The present moment is not only the golden opportunity but also a most sacred divinity wherein grows man's eternal promise-life.
32.
LayaDissolution
The dissolution of the physical life is not the sunlit path to walk along to realise God. On the contrary, the dissolution of the physical life is a stupendous failure of a human being who is a God-representative on earth.
33.
LilaCosmic Play
The Cosmic Play is composed of two realities: a birthless cry and a deathless smile.
34.
LobhaGreed
When we feed our disproportionate greed, once more we immediately become perfect members of the animal kingdom.
35.
MadaPride
Pride destroys the human in us, delays the divine in us and disappoints the Supreme in us.
36.
MadhuraPure emotion
The pure emotion-bridge that exists between the divine lover and the Supreme Beloved is a sleepless, breathless reality which has another name: Perfection-Immortality.
37.
MahapurushaThe Lord Supreme
Yesterday the Lord Supreme said to me, "My child, I want you to be the dust of My Feet."
Today the Lord Supreme says to me, "My child, I want you to be the flower of My Heart."
Tomorrow the Lord Supreme will say to me, "My child, I want you to be the crown of My Head."
38.
MaharajaEmperor
When I am an outer emperor, I cry for possession.
When I am an inner emperor, I cry for renunciation.
When I am the Supreme Emperor, I cry neither for possession nor for renunciation, because I am all satisfaction with or without possession and renunciation.
39.
MahimaGlory
My life's morning glories are beautiful. This is what I have discovered.
My life's evening glories are fruitful. This is what I have invented.
40.
MaitriFriendliness
There can be no real friendliness unless there is unreserved oneness founded upon unconditional Godliness.
41.
MamataSelf-attachment
When I enjoy self-attachment, God enjoys satisfaction-detachment.
42.
ManojayaConquest of the mind
The conquest of the mind liberates the human from the animal, illumines the human for the divine and prepares the divine for the Supreme.
43.
MatsaryaJealousy
Because of our jealousy-thorn, perfection-flower ignores us and satisfaction-fruit abhors us.
44.
MayaIllusion
The desire-world is all illusion.
The aspiration-world is all illumination.
The realisation-world is all perfection.
The perfection-world is all satisfaction.
The satisfaction-world is all oneness and all newness: oneness universal and newness transcendental.
45.
MithyaFalse
Everything is false: so thinks the doubting mind.
Everything can be transformed: so feels the crying heart.
Everything can be perfected, liberated and made into a perfect instrument of the Supreme: so knows the all-knowing soul.
46.
MokshaLiberation
Liberation from attachment-clouds I admire.
Liberation from enchantment-sky I adore.
Liberation from attainment-snare I love.
47.
MridutaGentleness
Gentleness is the most satisfactory beginning of life's perfection-bliss.
48.
MrityunjayaConqueror of death
The heart of the conqueror of death is all compassion for humanity's sleepless progress toward its own ever-transcending reality-existence.
49.
MukhyaChief
The chief cause of man's failure-life lies not in his incapacity but in his lack of eagerness to see the satisfaction-face of glorious success.
50.
MuktaThe liberated one
The liberated one compassionately dances inside the heart of man's nothingness and also inside the Vision-Eye of God's Fulness.
51.
MulaOrigin
The origin of man's foolishness is earth's ignorance.
The origin of earth's ignorance is an inconceivable plan of God.
52.
MurkhaFool
He is a fool who thinks that God is only in Heaven.
He is a greater fool who thinks that God does not care for him.
He is the greatest fool who thinks that he will never be able to realise God.
53.
NadaThe mystic sound
The mystic sound at once embodies both the unimaginable Omnipotence of God and the indescribable impotence of man.
54.
NadiNerve
Each desire-cry weakens our subtle nerves.
Each aspiration-cry strengthens our subtle nerves.
Each gratitude-cry and each gratitude-smile liberates our subtle nerves.
55.
Nama-RupaName and form
I have no name and I have no form. What do I have? I have Eternity's nameless Vision. I have Infinity's formless Realisation.
56.
NamrataHumility
Humility's vision-eye always has a free access to God's omnipresent Reality.
57.
Neti netiNot this, not that
Not this, not that. What, then, do I need? I need God's Forgiveness-Heart on earth and God's Satisfaction-Eye in Heaven.
58.
NidraSleep
A sleepless aspiration-heart is God's endless Satisfaction-Pride.
59.
NimeshaIn a twinkling
In a twinkling God can open up my heart's door. The paramount question is this: am I going to welcome Him alone or someone else alone, or am I going to welcome Him along with others? If I welcome Him alone as my only Guest, then only in a twinkling shall I get the satisfaction-sun which will forever last in me and for me.
