9846. He Who Is Wise

He who is clever
Is useless in the spiritual life.
He who is earthly wise and divinely unwise
Is equally useless.
But he who is supremely wise
Is constantly perfect.
Who is supremely wise?
He who does not expect anything
From the ignorance-world,
His lower self,
But who expects everything from God,
His higher Self.
