28. Mind and heart

Where is my mind?
Inside the wide hunger
Of one thousand miles
    Of wild clouds.

Where is my heart?
On the top of Mount Everest.
What is it doing over there?
It is singing the song
Of my Lord’s Compassion-light
    And
My life’s ingratitude-night.
