Every morning You stand before me
With Your infinite Compassion-Light.
Alas, alas, I do not know how
To receive Your Light.
Please, my Lord,
Since You take the trouble
Of coming to me every morning
With Your infinite Light,
Will You not teach me how to receive
Even an iota of Your Light
To transform my nature
And fulfil You inside my life?
