284. CONSOLATION

He sat at the foot of the sky
For consolation.

He sat in the heart of the sky
For consolation.

He sat on the top of the sky
For consolation.

No consolation!
At last he made his conscious oneness
  With God-life perfect.
In his service-light he received
  Not only consolation-illumination
  But perfection-satisfaction
                      of the transcendental Heights.
